i used MS Paint for Windows XP because, at the time, i didn't own a copy of photoshop. Once people saw this i was getting asked all the time to do flyers. But no one knew how hard it was to make something like this in MS Paint. after a while of doing flyers for local bands, my friend Disgustor of the Band Nerko Drunkz, wanted to start a "record label" but he wasn't to good at doing layout and using any sort of photo manipulation software.
I was asked to do my first Album layout for a Split Cassette by Nekro Drunkz and the Slovenian Grin Band Dickless Tracy (the original layout i did was TERRIBLE!!!!! i can't even look at it without wanting to fix everything i messed up on!!!)
even though i was disappointed in that layout; i continued to make layouts for his record label, including the Live Nekro Drunkz Album, the Splitting your Head and Grinding Your Mind grindcore compilation, Cemetery Lust's Live album and many others
since i started attending Clark College, i have taken Design classes to better myself in the field I have been thrust into. i have taken 3 Adobe product classes and 2 design classes but i plan on attending a LOT more. since starting school again i have found that i am quite found of camera's and photography as well as advertising, logo design, web design and a ton of other things relating to the music industry.
in the Winter quarter of my freshmen year of College, i took a Flash animation Class. the best thing about this class was that I learn how to make awesome Web ads like these:
